About
JunctionX Budapest is an event which oganized by CraftHub in the the fall of 2021, in order to bring developers, designers, and entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase their talents and create innovative solutions to solve fascinating challenges provided by our partners within 48 hours in Budapest or online.
Varian, a Siemens Healthineers company, they envision a world without fear of cancer. Their challenge is to come up with a solution that helps the patience understand about their diseases and connect them with doctor, who will monitor their health after the active treatment. We created a web application, Wecan, has the follow-up care program with health status tracking and automated care features.
As the leader of my team, I was responsible for planning, assigning tasks and deadlines for my teammates, and later presenting our solutions to the judges in the final.
Result & Demo
After 48 hours, our team came in 2nd place of Varian challenge.
We created a demo video for the second round of the competition which shows how would the web app work
The web application is hosted here using Vercel. Code are public at Github
Design
With the idea of Wecan, we intended to come up with a user-friendly interface of which solutions can be implemented in Varian's currently used mobile application. Therefore, we aimed to achieve an appearance that is close to the company's brand in colors, shapes, and tone of voice but has unique characteristics. We have a bold, vibrant, and friendly visual identity with round shapes and fascinating gradients.
Since the patients in cancer treatment may be tied to bed and feel weak, we made the application mobile-first and easy to use by reducing the length of the user journey and focusing on delivering the necessary information. Most of the crucial tasks are available from the homepage, but also, supplementary features and more complex diagrams can be reached through the navigation.
